FINANCE

EBSCO’s Corporate Finance Department is charged with establishing corporate financial policies, practices and programs to ensure the continued soundness of the financial position of EBSCO Industries.

Finance Department responsibilities include managing corporate legal matters; maintaining relationships with EBSCO’s many banking and financial partners worldwide; ensuring sound cash management practices, including overseeing the cash management of domestic and international operations, investments, international exchange management, and securing the required financing for EBSCO’s global operations.

Additionally, the Finance Department ensures EBSCO’s compliance with fiscal tax-filing and reporting requirements worldwide. Various income, excise, franchise, value-added and ad valorem taxes imposed by federal and local government units require constant monitoring for the effect they have on the company. Protection of EBSCO’s assets through a carefully monitored risk-management (insurance) program designed to cover potential losses is a major responsibility of the Finance Department.
