J.M. Stewart, also known as Stewart Signs, is pleased to introduce a new addition to its LED electronic line of signage. Digital LED (Light Emitting Diode) signs are quickly becoming the new, dynamic means of communication for churches, schools and businesses.

Now, in addition to its Elite and Standard eries signs, Stewart has a Premier Series, which falls between the other two models.

The defining factor of an LED sign is its pixel pitch. Measured in inches, pixel pitch is the distance from the center of one pixel to the center of an adjacent pixel. The lower the pixel pitch, the sharper the image projected on the LED. Therefore, in addition to the 0.7 Elite Series and 1.375 Standard Series, there is now a 0.9 Premier Series to give customers even more selection when investing in an LED sign.
The difference customers will see with this new model is that they can purchase a sign with a larger LED message area at a smaller cost. With this new, “middle-of-the-road” option, customers can have a bigger, more impressive LED area for less money than a 0.7 Elite Series of the same size would cost them. It’s a compromise between Stewart’s other two models.

The Standard Series, which has a pixel pitch of 1.375, offers less functionality for graphics and fewer options for text, but it is the least expensive of the LED models.

Although it has a large message area, it concedes on definition and resolution.

This means that although the message area is very large, the text will also be large because the pixels are so far apart. This limits the characters that can be displayed together at the same time. The low definition also affects the graphic capabilities of the sign. Portions of a picture will require more space on the LED screen compared to a high-definition screen, and video will appear at a lower resolution.

In contrast, the Elite Series, which has a pixel pitch of 0.7, is the highest definition series. It offers maximum functionality with text, graphics and video. However, LEDs with high resolution are too expensive for some churches and schools.

With its new 0.9 Premier Series creating a new price point, Stewart Signs looks forward to being even more competitive in the marketplace.
