Knight & Hale Game Calls and Carry-Lite Decoys Welcome Ronnie Conerly
Ronnie Conerly

Ronnie Conerly, recently appointed general manager for Knight & Hale Game Calls and Carry-Lite Decoys, has always been an avid outdoorsman. Growing up in East Texas, Conerly spent his teenage years hunting, fishing and developing a life-long respect for the great outdoors.

When the opportunity arose for Conerly to manage Knight & Hale Game Calls and Carry-Lite Decoys, he jumped at the chance to combine his love for the outdoors with his career and took the position as general manager of the two well-respected brands.

For the past 22 years, Conerly has worked in the engineering/software industry, most recently as a product manager for Solid Edge, a CAD software package for engineering companies. The challenge of providing new software that combines new technology with an easy-to-use interface made his job both challenging and enjoyable.

“There are a lot of similarities between developing software and making game calls and decoys,” Conerly said. “While manufacturing is different, the process to get a finished product is similar. In a nut shell, innovative products that are developed with good quality and good customer service, on schedule, will always be successful. My goal is to take the same principles I learned in the software industry and apply them to the game call and decoy market.”

Conerly has a degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University. Following graduation, he moved to Huntsville, Ala., to work with a software company. Later he spent five years working at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, managing engineering, maintenance and software development contracts for Marshall, Johnson and Kennedy Space Centers.

John Woller, Jr., general manager of PRADCO Outdoor Brands, said, “Ronnie is a ‘can-do’ manager who has a keen interest in seeing projects evolve and finished on or ahead of schedule. He shares the do-it-now philosophy that is the new standard across the POB companies, and his work ethic will inspire those around him to accept only the best for these profit centers.”
