Moultrie Feeders Receives High Honor from Wal-Mart
The Supplier Award of Excellence recognizes Moultrie’s merchandise quality, fulfillment, execution and overall understanding of the market to help Wal-Mart better serve customers.

Moultrie Feeders received a high honor in December when the company was presented with the Wal-Mart Supplier Award of Excellence for the third quarter of the year.  

Moultrie Feeders, which has supplied Wal-Mart with game management products for the last eight years, currently serves as Wal-Mart’s category captain — a position of both responsibility and honor.  

The company has held the esteemed position for the past three years. As category captain, Moultrie works closely with Wal-Mart to help identify which products to carry at different locations, the best times during the year to market them and to help manage in-store stock levels.

However, the Supplier Award of Excellence Award recognizes Moultrie as more than just category captain — it also recognizes merchandise quality, fulfillment, execution and overall understanding of the market to help Wal-Mart better serve customers.  

December marked the first time Moultrie has received the Supplier Award of Excellence from Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart, like all other retailers, strives to be viewed as having a leadership position in the marketplace. They achieve this by carrying highly recognized brands, such as Moultrie, and utilizing that brand expertise to help them make more informed product decisions.

The staff at Moultrie Feeders is honored to receive such a prestigious award. “We spend a lot of time and energy trying to help them better manage the business, and to be recognized for such an above-average job is very rewarding,” said Brent Feathers, national sales manager for Moultrie Feeders.

EBSCO acquired Moultrie Feeders in March 2003. Since then, Moultrie has been able to greatly strengthen its hold in the game management industry.

“EBSCO gave us the ability to take an already good business and product offering to a much higher perspective. Our affiliation with EBSCO really allowed us to perform at this level,” said John Traywick, product development with Moultrie Feeders.

“I am certain that Wal-Mart does not give out such awards lightly and that a lot goes into making such selections,” said Dixon Brooke, EBSCO president and CEO. “I hope this level of recognition will stand Moultrie well with future sales of products to Wal-Mart.”
