Chris Clark Brings High Cotton Expertise to PP&F
Chris Clark, sales director, Publisher Promotion and Fulfillment
Publisher Promotion and Fulfillment (PP&F), the division of EBSCO that provides promotion and subscription fulfillment services to scientific, technical, medical and business publishers, welcomed a new sales director in January 2006. Chris Clark comes to the company with more than 11 years of experience from High Cotton, a large-scale print and direct-mail company located in Birmingham, Ala.    

As an account executive for High Cotton, Clark earned the distinction of top sales person for five consecutive years, from 1999-2004. Later, he was promoted to product manager of fulfillment, where he oversaw sales, marketing and customer service. At PP&F, he will perform similar duties while focusing heavily on sales.
According to Catherine Thompson, PP&F general manager, Clark was the best candidate to help them reach their goals.

“Chris really stood out from the rest. He has all the qualities that we need in selling our services to publishers. Most of our sales come from relationship building efforts, and I see Chris excelling in this area,” Thompson said.

Since coming on board just three months ago, Clark has already made an effort to improve the division.

“My responsibility at PP&F is to drive sales to the next level by securing publishers with fulfillment and circulation management needs,” he said.

Clark is a graduate of Jefferson State Community College where he earned his associate’s degree in business. When not concentrating on work, Clark enjoys time at his home in Hoover, Ala., with his wife of 18 years, Missy, and his three children; Claire, Olivia and Jackson.
