A new Business-to-Business (B2B) group comprised of four EBSCO divisions – H. Wilson,Luxor, NSC and Siegel Display Products – has formed and will be led by Bernie Bauhof, Siegel general manager.
The businesses comprising this new B2B group are different, yet share similarities in their marketing needs and efforts. H. Wilson manufactures audio-visual equipment for schools, libraries and other intensive-use environments. Luxor manufactures and distributes specialty office furniture for offices, schools, libraries, health care and automotive facilities. Both of these divisions sell to distributors. NSC is a supplier to binding and laminating companies, while Siegel is a direct marketer and seller of literature display fixtures, point of purchase, tradeshow displays and product displays. Siegel sells to the end user while H. Wilson and Luxor sell to distributors. NSC sells to both end users and distributors.
Bauhof said, “[EBSCO President and CEO] Dixon Brooke has recognized that there is an opportunity to grow each of these businesses under a more focused level of management. Our goal is to lead these businesses to historical highs in sales and profits.” Bauhof intends to do just that.
Bill Hall, NSC general manager, said, “It is my hope that this internal alliance will provide opportunities to learn from divisions and from people I greatly respect. Bernie has always been quick to share ideas and reciprocating programs with us, and I look forward to continuing this under his direction.”
“Our products and customer bases seem to blend well with Siegel, H. Wilson and Luxor, which should result in some excellent networking opportunities,” Hall said.
Bauhof has a strong background in direct marketing and operations, including direct mail and e-commerce, information technology, distribution, customer service, and call center management. Since joining EBSCO as general manager of Siegel in 2003, he has built a quality team and has led the division to positive results.
Bauhof will manage this B2B group from his office in Minneapolis.
