MetaPress Makes Mobile Viewing Possible with Mozaic

Hallmark Data System"s Mozaic e-publishing service, powered by MetaPress technology, now offers a mobile-optimized reading experience for end-users accessing publications on Internet-capable devices, including iPad, iPhone, Android tablets and Android smartphones. With 87 percent of adults in the U.S. accessing the Internet via a mobile device, according to a 2011 study by the Pew Research Center, mobile access to online content is becoming increasingly essential.

MetaPress is meeting this growing trend by providing direct support for e-content access via smartphones and tablets. “Our mobile technology senses the device being used and automatically optimizes the user interface accordingly,” Gary Coker, MetaPress vice president of Strategy and Research, said. Going forward, Mozaic’s technology will migrate to MetaPress’s scholarly publishing service, offering users a mobile-optimized experience for over 50,000 publications.
