EBSCO SAVINGS & PROFIT SHARING TRUST
The EBSCO Savings and Profit Sharing Trust is one of the top benefits EBSCO offers. EBSCO contributes up to 15% of before-tax profits to its team members through annual profit sharing. When EBSCO businesses are successful and have profitable years, every EBSCO team member benefits.
- Company contributions are not tied to your personal savings and you are not required to save in order to receive company contributions.
- Your company contributions are 100% vested after six or more years of employment.
- After 90 days of employment:
- Qualified incoming rollovers are accepted,
- and employees can contribute 0—20% of gross pay (before taxes), up to a cap of $17,500.

HEALTH BENEFITS
Medical Plan — EBSCO offers three medical insurance plan options (Platinum, Gold, and Silver) so that employees can choose coverage that best fits both their needs and the needs of their family. All three medical plans are administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama (BCBS), which is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). This means employees enrolled in any of the plans pay less for healthcare provided by professionals and hospitals in the BCBS network.
Mental Health Benefits — EBSCO’s mental health benefits—which are available to employees and qualifying dependents who participate in any of EBSCO’s Medical Plans—address clinical diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, abuse, childhood trauma, chemical dependency, and other serious disorders.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) — Available to all employees and their dependents, regardless of whether or not they participate in EBSCO’s Medical Plans, offering up to 6 free confidential visits with a counselor.
Dental Plan — EBSCO’s Dental Plan is administered by Delta Dental which provides a national network of more than 142,000 dentists that extends across the U.S.
Vision Plan — By enrolling in the Vision Service Plan, EBSCO employees can choose from two levels of vision coverage: Choice and Choice Premier.

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS
EBSCO offers three flexible spending account options that allow employees to set aside money from their paycheck before it is taxed to pay for certain healthcare and dependent care expenses as defined by the IRS.
Medical Spending Account — The Medical Spending Account is available for employees on the Platinum or Gold Medical Plans, and it allows for the deferment of funds for projected healthcare expenses on a pre-tax basis.
Limited Purpose — The Limited Purpose Spending Account is an option for employees on the Silver Medical Plan. This type of account can be used for reimbursement of qualifying dental and vision expenses.
Dependent Care Spending Account — A Dependent Care Spending Account can be used to defer funds for anticipated expenses for the care of a qualifying dependent on a pre-tax basis.

PAID PARENTAL LEAVE
EBSCO provides paid Maternity and Parental Leave benefits at no cost to eligible employees.

DISABILITY COVERAGES
Short Term Disability — EBSCO offers a Short Term Disability Salary Continuation Plan at no cost to eligible employees. This benefit will pay 60% of an employee’s basic earnings if a short term, non-work related illness or injury leaves them unable to temporarily perform their job.
Long Term Disability — EBSCO’s Long Term Disability coverage replaces 60% of an employee’s monthly income, up to a maximum monthly benefit of $10,000. Benefits are payable once an employee has been unable to work for 180 days.

LIFE INSURANCE COVERAGES
Employee Basic Life Insurance — EBSCO offers Employee Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance. All active employees, working a minimum of 20 regularly scheduled hours per week, are eligible after 90 days of continuous employment.
Employee Optional Life Insurance — Should an employee need more financial protection than the Basic Life and AD&D Insurance coverage provides, they may be able to additionally purchase Employee Optional Life Insurance.
Spouse Optional Life Insurance — If an employee elects Employee Optional Life Insurance for themselves, they may also elect Spouse Life Insurance to protect against the financial impact of a spouse’s death.
Child Life Insurance — If an employee elects Employee Optional Life Insurance for themselves, they may also elect Child Life Insurance.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Travel Assistance Services — Employees who are covered under EBSCO’s Life Insurance policy are eligible for Travel Assistance, which provides 24/7/365 access to pre-travel, personal, and emergency assistance for travel-related problems and circumstances.
Tuition Reimbursement — EBSCO’s Tuition Reimbursement Program allows full-time employees to be reimbursed for 75% of the tuition costs associated with approved courses or degree programs.
Adoption Assistance Benefits — EBSCO will provide assistance to all eligible employees who are growing families through the adoption process.
