With a 14-year background in Human Resources, Matt has a passion for people and team development. He’s about more than just the P&L of the company and that shows in his interactions with his teammates and his customers. Companies like John Deere and Caterpillar have high expectations, and Matt helped ensure they were met and exceeded during his 11 years at O’Neal Manufacturing Services, a nationwide industrial metal supplier. Before his tenure at O’Neal, he was at Saiia Construction, an industrial heavy civil contractor specializing in power generation, aggregate mining, and pulp and paper markets.

As Matt considered the next role in his career, he desired a company that aligned with his values and allowed him to return to Birmingham, Al. Vulcan Industries was the perfect fit, and he joined as President in July of 2023. He is a proud alumnus of the University of Alabama, an avid Alabama football fan, and loves exploring the outdoors and hunting in his free time.
